The School of Materials Science and Engineering of JLU has a well-structured teaching group composed of erudite and rigorous scholars, including 80 professors, 37 associate professors, 13 lecturers and 40 researchers and engineers. Among them are distinguished scholars, including winners of National Outstanding Youth Fund: Professor Lian Jianshe, Professor Jiang Qing, Professor Zheng Weitao, Professor Wang Huiyuan and Professor Yan Junmin, as well as “Tang Aoqing Distinguished Professors” of Jilin University, including Professor Lian Jianshe, Professor Jiang Qing, Professor Zheng Weitao, Professor Jiang Qichuan and Professor Wei Cundi. Over the years, the College has sent over 50 teachers and students to countries such as the United States, Germany, the UK, France, Canada, Japan, Sweden, Austria and Belgium, for the purpose of further study, giving lectures and attending academic seminars. By far, over 200 doctors, more than 1,000 master students and no less than 7,000 undergraduates have graduated form the College and all of them are making great contributions to society and the whole country in their respective positions.
