From July 7 to July 10, the National Finals and Award Ceremony of the 16th China College Students Mechanical Engineering Innovation and Creativity Competition: Casting Process Design Competition were held at Shanghai University of Engineering Science. Nine participating teams guided by faculty members from our school won 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, and 4 third prizes in the National Finals, as well as 6 first prizes and 2 second prizes in the Regional Competition (Northern Division).

This competition adopts a three-level system: university preliminary, regional competition, and national finals. The winning projects hold significant value, with the proportions of national first and second prizes being 8% and 9% of the total participating entries respectively, and the proportion of third prizes being 34%.

The China College Students Mechanical Engineering Innovation and Creativity Competition: Casting Process Design Competition is hosted by the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and co-organized by the Foundry Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology Group Shenyang Foundry Research Institute Co., Ltd., and other units. It has been selected for the “National College Discipline Competition Ranking” for six consecutive times and is classified as a National Class B competition at Jilin University.
