The Global Scholar Database officially released the 2023 Global Scholar Academic Influence Ranking (Lifetime Academic Influence List). A total of 8,029 scholars from Chinese institutions were selected, among whom 74 scholars are affiliated with Jilin University, and 9 scholars come from the College of Materials Science and Engineering. This ranking system scores scholars based on their published papers. It evaluates each individual paper across multiple metrics including journal quality, paper type, citation frequency, and the author’s contribution weight. The total score is accumulated from all paper scores, and the top 100,000 scholars worldwide are ranked in descending order of total score.
