Inorganic Nonmetallic Materials Engineering


Description: The program offers courses covering basic theories and research methods on the relationship of the composition, micro-structure, preparation process and macroscopic properties between new inorganic materials such as ceramics, glass, cement, semiconductors, inorganic crystals and composite materials, and the traditional materials, the production principles of materials, processing technology and equipment and theories and practice of the technology development, processing design, quality assessment (QA) and performance optimization. The program aims to cultivate high-quality and specialized talents with mastery of basic theory in materials science and engineering, proficiency in research and development, performance and structure testing and assessment as well as process design of inorganic nonmetallic materials.

Main courses: Physical Chemistry, Solid State Physics, Electrical and Electronic Technology, Crystallography and Material Mineralogy, Fundamentals of Inorganic Materials Science, Fundamentals of Materials Engineering, Materials Testing Methods, Physical Property of Inorganic Materials, Functional Materials, Inorganic Nonmetallic Materials Techniques, Composite Materials.
