摘要:

Metal halide perovskites (MHPs) are promising for next-generation vivid displays due to their exceptional color purity and tunable optoelectronic properties. This talk explores advanced strategies for enhancing perovskite light-emitting diode (PeLED) luminescence using perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs). We introduce material design strategies to suppress defects and improve performance, such as guanidinium (GA) doping in FAPbBr3 PNCs and bromide-incorporated overcoating to stabilize PNCs and passivate bromide vacancies, significantly boosting efficiency. A modified bar-coating technique enables large-area PeLEDs with efficiencies comparable to small-area devices. Further, we present in situ core/shell PNC synthesis, achieving high-efficiency, high-brightness, and stable PeLEDs. A hybrid tandem PeLED architecture, integrating colloidal PNC and organic LED units, optimizes charge balance and outcoupling, yielding ultrahigh efficiency and narrow emission linewidths. Additionally, conjugated molecular multipods enhance the perovskite lattice and reduce dynamic disorder, further improving PeLED luminescence. Finally, we introduce a perovskite-organic solid solution structure enabling deep-blue emission PeLEDs.

报告人简介:

Tae-Woo Lee,韩国首尔大学材料科学与工程系教授、博士生导师、韩国科学院院士,总统奖获得者。

Tae-Woo Lee is a professor in the Materials Science and Engineering Department at Seoul National University, Korea. He was appointed as a regular member of the Korea Academy of Science and Technology in 2021. He has published 311 papers in high-impact journals, including Science, Nature, Nat. Photon., Nat. Nanotechnol., Nat. Biomed. Eng., Sci. Adv., Nat. Commun., Joule, PNAS, Energy Environ. Sci., and Adv. Mater.. He is also the inventor of 445 patented technologies. He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Merck Award (2006), the Korea Young Scientist Award from the President of Korea (2008), the Research Innovation Award from the Ministry of Science and ICT (Minister’s Award) of Korea (2018), the Korean Engineering Award (Presidential Award) (2021), a Commendation from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea (Minister’s Award) (2021), and the Kyung-Ahm Prize (2023). He was also honored as an MRS Fellow (2020) and SPIE Fellow (2024).

Currently, he serves as the Executive Editor of The Innovation Materials (Cell press) and the Associate Editor of Org. Electron. (Elsevier). He is also an editorial board member for Adv. Mater. (Wiley), FlatChem (Elsevier), EcoMat (Wiley), and Chem Bio Eng. (ACS).

His research focuses on organic materials, organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites, and carbon-based materials, with applications in flexible and stretchable electronics, displays, bioinspired neuromorphic systems, and solar energy conversion devices. He is the co-founder and CEO of SN Display Co., Ltd., a startup dedicated to the commercialization of perovskite-based displays.
